KLA Elementary School students participate in The Underline groundbreaking event

Our now second graders were able to be part of The Underline groundbreaking event! The Underline will be a 10-mile neighborhood park in Miami-Dade County. Our KLA Elementary School students have been involved with this project since they were in kindergarten and it has served as inspiration for research and exploration in their class.

They shared ideas on what to build to make this new addition to our community a fun one and even designed spaces for it! They also had an opportunity to talk to Francis Suarez, Mayor of Miami. KLA Elementary is excited to witness the actual transformation of this important part of our city!
