You’re Choosing More Than Childcare

Choosing your child’s first school is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent.

You want a place where your child feels safe, inspired, and excited to learn. A place where curiosity is encouraged, and strong academic foundations begin to grow.

Many parents worry that early education today focuses too much on memorization or rigid lesson plans that don’t reflect how children naturally learn. At KLA Schools of Huntsville, we believe the early years should nurture both intellectual curiosity and academic confidence.

That’s why our Reggio Emilia–inspired program encourages children to explore ideas, ask questions, collaborate with peers, and develop a deep understanding of the world around them.

What is the Reggio Emilia approach?

The Reggio Emilia philosophy was founded in Italy and has influenced early education worldwide. At its core, it respects each child’s individuality and emphasizes learning through exploration, relationships, and hands-on experiences. Key principles include:

  • Emergent Curriculum: Learning is guided by your child’s questions and interests.
  • Educators as Partners: Teachers are observers and collaborators, not lecturers.
  • Parental Partnership: Parents are part of the learning journey and school community.
