Inside Our Schools
Health, Safety & Security
KLA Schools are safe and secure by design. We work diligently to maintain the cleanliness of our facility as well as the safety of our furnishings and overall health of our children and their environment. Parents log their children in at the reception area, where no outsiders are allowed. All doors leading outside of the KLA Schools grounds are kept locked and only able to be opened through sophisticated technology. Our schools include an outdoor play area designed with age appropriate materials, protective fences, and well-maintained grounds to ensure the children’s safety. The entire school is continually monitored utilizing closed-circuit cameras in all classrooms as well as hallways and outdoor spaces. Staff members qualified to respond to life-threatening emergencies are always in attendance. Trained in pediatric first aid and CPR, staff members are always available to respond to a variety of emergency medical situations. In addition to our regularly instituted health and safety plan, emergency care products are also put in place for both minor and major incidents. Whatever the situation, our staff is confident and qualified to keep your most prized possession safe at all times.
KLA Schools is committed to protecting the safety and well-being of the children, your families and our staff. We are diligently watching the development of the Coronavirus and following recommendations by the Department of Health, Center for Disease Control, and World Health Organization to stay up to date on the most current information.
KLA Schools are staffed with caring, fun, and dedicated professionals. Participating regularly in professional development experiences, our teachers are constantly looking for ways to learn more about the best ways to teach our students. Observations of each child are taken throughout the day in addition to notes reflecting on weekly projections. Our educators are continually analyzing which ways children learn best as well as which teaching styles are most effective. Facilitators in their interactions with children, our educators work to align children interests with the learning domains in loving, nurturing, and positive ways which support students in feeling safe, loved, and valued. Our curriculum addresses the whole child including academic, physical, social and emotional domains.
We encourage them to think deeper and ask questions as they research different theories. It is of utmost importance that teachers and children alike invest in researching and collaborating together in order to be a part of each other’s learning process.
Parents as Our Partners
Parents are a crucial factor in our program. In fact, parents are our partners. Our teachers understand and respect that parents are their children’s first teacher. Their involvement in the school gives their children a sense of security and is deeply appreciated. We recognize that stable, quality relationships during the early years are fundamental for later developmental outcomes. Collaboration between teachers, parents and the children is an integral part of the educational experience at KLA Schools. Our goal is not simply to build a strong, warm and nurturing connection with each child, but to extend that connection to our community of parents. By working in a collaborative group setting, children learn critical life skills such as compromise, reasoning, respect for others’ opinions and enhancement of their sense of community. Through these partnerships, children benefit from experiencing many of the same principles at home that they do in school and thrive with this consistency. Teachers also offer frequent support our families and our communities through transparency and by being a source of information about educating a whole child and the various aspects of development.
Prospect Latin has been so much more than a daycare or preschool for our daughters. For 5 years, the school has been a second home and extension of our family. Our children have developed life long skills that prepare them for elementary school and beyond–problem solving, inquiry, cooperation, and compassion. The teachers and administrators offer a warm and welcoming environment in which young children can thrive. We are so thrilled to have had the opportunity for our children to attend Prospect Latin.

I’ve had the pleasure of sending all three of my children to Prospect Latin. Having my children attend PLS since 2008 and having one still enrolled, I can tell you that the Prospect Latin School is a truly special place. You feel the warmth as soon as you enter the front doors. The children are happy and I have seen them grow emotionally, physically and educationally over the years. The staff are very competent and caring professionals who treat each child as if they were their own.

Our experience and my son’s educational growth at Prospect Latin Preschool is leaps and bounds ahead of any other program in the area! From the front office… The warm greeting we get each morning from Susan and Meredith starts out our day on the right foot. And, our teachers are absolutely amazing! They have the patience, education, organization, and warmth that our child needs and excels from. My son comes home and teaches me! The school is just fabulous. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate our experience at the school a 12!

My husband and I are very pleased with the education our daughter receives at Prospect Latin. There is no doubt she is a step ahead in her knowledge and social development. We especially take note of the difference when we see her interacting with her peers that attend “daycare”. The school setting provided by Prospect Latin and use of Reggio Emilia techniques truly allows the children to explore their natural curiosity. This ignites a passion for learning!! The teachers are exceptional with a genuine interest in seeing their students succeed. We believe Prospect Latin is an extension of our family. We have no concerns about our daughter’s safety or wellbeing during the day. We appreciate and honor the Christian values of Prospect Latin. Our investment in education has and will continue to payoff for years to come as our daughter’s core foundation has been built upon helpful tools taught and nurtured through the program.

My husband and I are so happy with Prospect Latin Preschool. One of the top things we love is the communication the school provides regarding our child. We know that if we have any questions or concerns, the teachers and staff are available through email, and/or phone and are prompt in their response. We love the weekly newsletters that are filled with information on what our child is learning in school. It is also comforting to know that all teachers have a degree, are CPR certified and make sure that our child’s safety is a high priority. The amount of knowledge our son has learned since attending PLP is phenomenal. It is amazing to hear him talk about the exciting things he has learned from school and fun to see all the projects he brings home. We personally feel that he will be very well prepared for kindergarten and have PLP to thank for that. Our son has adjusted really well and has an amazing time hanging out with his friends at school. We definitely feel we made the right decision in choosing PLP.

Prospect Latin has been a great fit for our two sons who could not be more different. The school was a safe, loving and nurturing environment for our rule follower and our rule breaker. The school prepared our older son well for an elementary school with a rigorous and challenging curriculum. Our youngest son is finishing his last year at PLS. We have been so fortunate to have spent 6 years as part of the PLS family.

We would like to welcome you to your digital tour of KLA Schools. From the moment you walk into any of our locations, you will know that you are in a KLA School. Each one of our schools has a modern feel and design unlike any other. Features such as wood floors and furniture, large picture windows for all classrooms and offices, large corridors and classroom sizes, soft tone colors, and play soft furniture brought in from Italy are some of the visual components that makes KLA stand out from all the rest.

As part of our philosophy and educational approach, we believe it is essential to make visible the fact that each child knows and understands that we are all different and can co-exist peacefully. We have different ways of thinking, a fact we embrace. In fulfilling this vision, KLA Schools has formed relationships with charitable organizations within each of the communities it exists. Below you can read a bit more about our involvement with the following foundations.
Each year KLA Schools of Brickell participates in fundraising through the Camillus House Organization. Serving the South Florida community since 1960, this is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian services to men, women and children who are poor and homeless. We ask our families to help us by providing basic non-perishable necessities to these people in our community.
The Pajama Program
The Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Some of the children this organization serves are living with their families below the poverty level, in desperate need of food, clothing and shelter. Each year around the winter holidays, KLA School of Brickell collects books and pajamas for children from infants to six years old.
The M.A.S. foundation strives to make a positive impact on the less fortunate through compassion, respect and humility. They provide medical assistance, feed the hungry, clothe the poor, and help educate young minds. KLA School of Palmetto Bay supported this organization with the donation of food items during the Thanksgiving Holiday and toys for Christmas. These donations were sent to St Ann’s Mission in Homestead. KLA School of Palmetto Bay initiated this school wide fundraiser and involved their children, parents and staff.
Toys for Tots
KLA School of North Bay Village participated in the donation of toys for children and families in need during the winter season. Toys are collected through this organization, associated with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Unit, to provide hope and happiness during difficult times to assist them in becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens. Ask the KLA Schools near you to see how they’re making a difference in the community.
Ecuador Earthquake Relief
In 2016 KLA Schools of Brickell supported Ecuador’s earthquake victims by collecting non-perishable items, blankets, water and more.
Hurricane Maria Relief
