Director

My name is Melissa, and I’m proud to serve as the Founding Administrator at KLA Schools of Lake Worth. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and bring over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education to our school community.

Originally from Wisconsin, I’ve called Florida home for nearly 20 years. My connection to KLA Schools is both professional and personal—my two older daughters are KLA graduates, and my youngest son is currently thriving in our 3’s program. Being part of this community as both an educator and a parent has deepened my commitment to creating a nurturing, high-quality educational environment for all children.

I am passionate about building a strong sense of community among our families, students, and staff. I also bring extensive knowledge of school operations and licensing requirements, ensuring that we uphold the highest standards across every aspect of our program.

Assistant Director

My name is Ashlee. Since joining KLA Schools of Lake Worth in 2023, I’ve had the opportunity to grow professionally—beginning as an Assistant Teacher and stepping into the role of Lead Teacher in my second year. I took on the Administrative role of Assistant Director last school year to support Melissa and the teachers. I am passionate about working with young children and deeply value the impact early education has on their development.

Driven by a commitment to lifelong learning, I’m currently working toward becoming a Registered Behavioral Technician and earning my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. I believe in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive, and I’m excited to continue expanding my skills in the field of early childhood education.

Alanna Vespi

Pedagogical Coordinator

My name is Alanna, and I’ve been a member of the KLA Schools of Lake Worth family for over 4 years. I spent time as a Lead Teacher in the class of the 2’s and class of the 3’s. Last school year, I took on the role of Pedagogical Coordinator. This Administrative position allows me to further support and collaborate with our incredible team of educators.

Originally from a small town in Ohio, I earned my Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University. My passion for early childhood education began while working at a childcare center during college, where I discovered the deep joy that comes from helping young children learn, explore, and thrive.

As Pedagogical Coordinator, I support our educators as they deepen their understanding and implementation of the Reggio Emilia philosophy. I truly believe that empowering teachers directly impacts the growth and development of our children.
