KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield Celebrate Grandparents Day with Smiles, Laughter, and Love

Naperville, IL — 8th September 2025 — KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield opened their doors to welcome grandparents and families for a heartfelt Grandparents Day celebration. Across all three campuses, classrooms were filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful moments as children proudly shared their learning spaces with their grandparents.

Families participated in a variety of activities, including classroom visits, hands-on projects, and memory-making experiences designed to honor the special role grandparents play in children’s lives.

One family member shared, “This was great! We’re so happy you do this for the children.” Another expressed gratitude, saying, “We had a wonderful turnout for Grandparents Day. Smiles and laughter filled the school. Expressions of gratitude for the wonderful event were shared across all classrooms.”

Ms. Karen, Assistant Principal, noted a special moment, sharing that one grandparent said, “It was fun to visit my grandson's school. And I love that the Scholastic Book Fair was available for me to purchase books for him instead of toys.”

Ms. Patti, Pedagogy Coordinator, reflected on the celebration: “What a wonderful outpouring of love was felt during our Grandparents' event! Watching the children run to their grandparents upon arrival was such a gift. Each grandparent shared how appreciative they were for this time with their precious little ones.”

The celebrations reflected the schools’ commitment to fostering intergenerational connections and building a strong sense of community. From crafts and storytelling to shared meals and warm conversations, the event created lasting memories for both children and their families.
