KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield Host Inspiring Professional Development Day for Educators

Naperville, IL — 13th October 2025 — KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield recently hosted a highly engaging Professional Development (PD) Day, bringing together educators for a day of collaboration, creativity, and growth. The day was designed to inspire innovation in the classroom while strengthening community across the three schools.

The sessions were filled with meaningful discussions, hands-on experiences, and opportunities for teachers to exchange ideas and enhance their practice. Educators participated in age group collaborations focused on their year-long project, “First Encounters.” During these sessions, teachers brainstormed and developed project webs, visual maps capturing their creative ideas to guide learning experiences throughout the school year.

Workshops also offered educators the chance to explore outdoor classroom learning, where teachers engaged in hands-on activities using materials they can incorporate into their own outdoor environments. Additional sessions focused on social-emotional learning, emphasizing strategies for emotional regulation in the classroom and integrating KLA Schools’ core values into everyday practice.

One teacher shared, “I liked how we were able to come together with teachers from other schools to collaborate on project work. I also enjoyed the workshop breakouts.”

The PD Day not only offered valuable professional growth but also reinforced KLA Schools’ commitment to a collaborative, Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to early childhood education. Educators left feeling energized and equipped with new ideas to inspire their students and colleagues alike.
