KLA Schools of Plainfield, Naperville & Naperville West Celebrate STEM Learning and Family Partnership

Plainfield/Naperville, IL — March 2026 — KLA Schools of Plainfield, Naperville, and Naperville West wrapped up February with a month full of discovery, creativity, and hands-on STEM learning. Throughout the month, classrooms explored age-appropriate science, technology, engineering, and math experiences designed to spark curiosity and build early problem-solving skills.

Educators and Pedagogical Coordinators led engaging STEM explorations across all three schools, bringing experiments to life through interactive, child-centered learning experiences. Students investigated magnets, mixed vibrant colors, and explored hands-on discovery projects—building confidence as young learners and practicing observation, prediction, and critical thinking skills.

KLA Schools also celebrated these experiences with its annual STEM Fair, welcoming families into the school community to explore classroom science boards and participate in hands-on activities. In addition, families were invited to extend STEM learning at home by creating a project together, which children proudly brought in and presented during the event. The STEM Fair showcased the powerful impact of school-home collaboration, reinforcing the value of family partnership in children’s learning.

The excitement and learning were evident throughout the event. One student proudly shared, “The lava was my favorite!” A parent laughed, “She was having more fun with magnets than the children,” highlighting just how engaging the hands-on stations were for all ages. Older siblings also joined in with enthusiasm, and families could be heard saying, while another exclaimed, “We liked seeing scientists at work!” “This is such a cool science fair!” Children were eager to share discoveries too—one group announced, “We learned that 23 water droplets fit on a penny!”
