KLA Schools Celebrate Year-End Culminating Events Showcasing Student Growth

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE KLA Schools of Plainfield, Naperville, and Naperville West Celebrate Year-End Culminating Events Showcasing Student Growth

Plainfield, IL — June 2025 — KLA Schools of Plainfield, Naperville, and Naperville West recently hosted their annual Culminating Events, offering families an inspiring look into the year-long learning journeys of their children. Each classroom, from the youngest infants to the oldest preschoolers, presented projects developed throughout the school year, reflecting the students’ growth, creativity, and curiosity.

Even the infant classrooms proudly showcased their First Encounters project, highlighting early developmental milestones. Across the schools, projects explored a wide range of themes including animals, engineering, communication, music, food, photography, and the expressive arts. In alignment with the Reggio Emilia philosophy, one class project engaged the students in "100 Languages" of learning—exploring, expressing, and connecting through a variety of mediums.

Teachers served as facilitators, supporting inquiry-based learning while encouraging children to explore their interests and collaborate with peers. Older students documented their investigations and shared research findings, building foundational skills in reading, writing, science, and math. In every classroom, provocations related to the project theme were embedded across learning centers to foster exploration through both independent and social experiences.

Each Culminating Event embodied the full spectrum of developmental goals, from gross and fine motor skills to social-emotional growth and early academic competencies. Families were invited to witness this powerful learning in action—whether through interactive exhibits, student presentations, or themed classroom experiences.

“The learning that takes place in these projects is deeply personal and driven by the children's interests,” said a KLA Schools representative. “It’s remarkable to see how each child’s voice and ideas are reflected in the final event.”

Families echoed this sentiment. One KLA Plainfield parent remarked, “This is fantastic!” while a Naperville parent attending the toddler relationship project at a local playground said, “This is such a wonderful thing that you do. We absolutely love seeing the connection between all the kids. You can truly tell that even in the Nido room, they have friendship.”

KLA Schools remain committed to nurturing each child's potential through intentional, project-based learning experiences that celebrate their natural wonder and capacity for discovery.
