City of Aventura Mayor Visits KLA Schools of Aventura Campus

Aventura, FL — KLA Schools of Aventura recently had the honor of welcoming the Mayor of the City of Aventura, Howard Weinberg along with Bruno Damasco, a passionate leader in children's publishing, for a special visit to the school’s campus.

Roberto Ortega, Founder and President of KLA Schools, Zaida Alfonzo, Pedagogical Coordinator, and Pilar Rodriguez, Administrator of KLA Schools of Aventura welcomed Mayor Weinberg and provided the opportunity for him to explore the learning environments and gain insight into KLA Schools’ educational approach inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

The visit highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering curiosity, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences for young children.
School leadership and educators shared how children are encouraged to explore ideas, collaborate with peers, and engage in hands-on, project-based learning each day. The Mayor also observed classroom environments designed to support independence, critical thinking, and strong social connections, key elements of the KLA experience.
