KLA Schools of Walnut Creek Featured in The Shadelands Scene
We’re proud to share that KLA Schools of Walnut Creek is featured in the September 2026 issue of The Shadelands Scene in a special story, “KLA Schools of Walnut Creek – Keeping Childhood Sacred.”
The feature shares the story of our Walnut Creek school and highlights our child-led, inquiry-based approach to early childhood education, inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. It also explores KLA Schools of Walnut Creek’s special place within the KLA community as the only KLA school in California and the only location owned and operated by KLA Schools founders Roberto and Candy Ortega.
Since opening in Walnut Creek in 2013, our school has been committed to creating an environment where children’s ideas, curiosity, relationships, and natural desire to discover are valued throughout their early learning journey.
