KLA Schools Celebrate Teacher & Parent Appreciation Month Honoring the Heart Work of Educators and the Power of Family Partnership
Naperville/Plainfield, IL — May 2026
KLA Schools of Plainfield, Naperville, and Naperville West proudly celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week alongside Parent Appreciation Month, recognizing the incredible educators and families who shape children’s earliest learning experiences. At KLA Schools, we believe early childhood education is “heart work,” and we are deeply grateful for the patience, care, and dedication our teachers bring to children and families every day.
Throughout the week, KLA Schools hosted a schoolwide celebration—“Passport to Appreciation”—filled with meaningful moments of gratitude and recognition. Families joined in by sharing kind notes, thoughtful treats, generous donations, and participating in voting for our Hero of the Year Awards, which honor educators who make a lasting impact on children’s confidence, belonging, and love of learning. The celebration concluded with a special Hero of the Year Dinner, bringing together all three KLA Schools to recognize and celebrate our outstanding team members.
KLA Schools also highlighted the vital role families play in a thriving school community. During Parent Appreciation Month, each school shared small gestures of gratitude to honor parents and caregivers as essential partners in children’s growth and development.
“Teachers and families are the foundation of everything we do,” shared KLA Schools leadership. “When educators and parents work together, children thrive—and that partnership is what makes our KLA community so special.”
