KLA Schools of Plainfield, Naperville & Naperville West Celebrate a Month of Connection, Growth, and Healthy Habits
Plainfield/Naperville, IL — February 2026 — February was a busy and meaningful month at KLA Schools of Plainfield, Naperville, and Naperville West, filled with family connection, educator development, hands-on learning, and community partnerships that support the whole child.
KLA Schools began the month by hosting its annual Friendship Day celebrations, welcoming families into classrooms for a joyful, friendship-filled experience. Children and parents shared special moments together through activities focused on kindness, connection, and community. Families expressed gratitude for the event, sharing feedback such as, “The event was so fun, we really enjoyed it,” and “Great event—thank you for doing this for the students and families.”
KLA Schools also held a Professional Development Day, bringing together leadership and educators for a day of learning, collaboration, and practice-building. Sessions included topics such as Proactive Classroom Management and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), along with hands-on workshops to strengthen classroom experiences and support consistent, high-quality instruction across all locations. As one teacher shared, “What I love about PD is when we can all come together and collaborate.”
Families were also welcomed to KLA through a Little Engineers: Parent & Me STEM Experience, a special event designed to help new families engage with the school community while children explored hands-on STEM experiences. Parents expressed excitement and appreciation, sharing comments such as, “Thank you for hosting this fun event—when will the next one be?”
In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month, classrooms across all three KLA locations focused on healthy hygiene habits through stories, conversations, and classroom experiences that made self-care fun and developmentally appropriate. KLA Schools partnered with local dental professionals, including Pinky Promise Pediatric Dentistry and Heritage Grove Family Dental (Dr. Pete Gallos), who visited to teach children about dental care in a fun, interactive way. Students were excited to ask questions and learn from the visiting professionals, reinforcing the importance of brushing, healthy choices, and caring for their bodies.
“Healthy habits are part of growing hearts and growing minds,” said KLA Schools leadership. “By partnering with families and community experts, we help children build routines that support lifelong wellness and confidence.”
