Educators and Students of KLA Schools Celebrate a Month of Gratitude

Naperville, IL – [Monday, December 4, 2023] – KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield, renowned for their commitment to cultivating core values in children, proudly announces a month-long celebration and focus of gratitude. Emphasizing the significance of Gratitude and Respect as fundamental principles taught to its students, KLA Schools underscores the importance of daily gratitude practices for children and teachers alike.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, with a heartwarming initiative, students from KLA Schools of Plainfield took the spirit of gratitude beyond the classroom by crafting thoughtful cards to express their thanks to local Veterans. A group of enthusiastic children visited Harbor Chase Retirement Center, where they delivered these cards to the Veterans. The joyous occasion allowed the children to engage in meaningful conversations, share songs, and bring smiles to the faces of the honored Veterans, fostering a deep sense of community and connection.

In the spirit of giving back, all three locations participated in a Food Drive, collecting and donating a total of 570 items to local food pantries, such as Loaves to Fishes and the Plainfield Area Interfaith Food Pantry. The children, eager to understand the impact of their contributions, engaged in conversations with pantry workers, gaining valuable insights into the importance of community support. Selvei Rajkumar, Owner and Managing Director of KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield, has taken the concept of gratitude to new heights when she shared her recently published book, "My Gratitude Journal: The Power of Perspective," with her team of educators. Drawing on her experiences, the book explores how cultivating gratitude can profoundly shape one's perspective and enrich everyday life. The book is now available on Amazon for those seeking to foster a more grateful and positive outlook.

Educators from Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield collaborated on a heartwarming video to express their appreciation for the KLA Schools community. In the video, they extended warm Thanksgiving wishes to every family, emphasizing the importance of gratitude in building strong connections and fostering a spirit of togetherness.
