Anita joined our team in early 2022 and has 20 years of experience in Early Education programs. She has always been passionate about working with children, and is motivated to continue to uphold the high standards of our program and support both the teachers and the children. She looks forward to showing you all that KLA Schools of Hillsboro has to offer and the endless opportunities for your child to learn.
Hi, my name is Wendi and I have been with KLA since February 2018. I have been in early education since 2005 working with infants all the way to after school programs, with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Services. I started working with children during high school volunteering at our onsite preschool. Watching the excitement, the children would have in discovering new things, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else in my life than working with children. In my free time I love spending time with my family. Going to parks, on hikes, and to the beach are some of our favorite adventures to have together.
My name is Sophie and I started teaching in the Portland area nine years ago, after receiving a BS in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Idaho. I come from a family full of teachers and have always found a special connection to working with young children. I began my childcare experience in a PBIS center, working in a toddler room for five years. I started with KLA four years ago, working with both 3’s and 4’s, and eventually Nidos. I’m passionate about the Reggio approach, and helping other teachers learn and grow in this philosophy.
