KLA Schools Highlights the Power of Family Partnership Through Parent-Teacher Conferences and Literacy Event

Naperville/Plainfield, IL — April 2026 — KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield celebrated the strong connection between home and school throughout April with Parent-Teacher Conferences and a recent Family Literacy Event.

Parent-Teacher Conferences gave families and educators meaningful time to connect, reflect on each child’s progress, and celebrate growth. These conversations support KLA Schools’ belief that parents are a child’s first teacher and that strong home-school partnerships help children thrive.

“At KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield, Parent-Teacher Conferences are a meaningful opportunity for families and educators to come together, reflect on each child’s growth, and celebrate their unique learning journey,” shared KLA Schools leadership. “We believe parents are a child’s first teacher, and strong partnerships between home and school help build the trust, connection, and support that every child needs to thrive.”

Teachers also emphasized the importance of these conversations. “As a teacher, I’ve been preparing for our conferences by reviewing my students’ progress through their MAP Growth Tests and assessments,” one teacher shared. “I’m eager to connect with parents as they prepare for their child’s upcoming transition to kindergarten.”

KLA Schools also welcomed families for a Literacy Event that celebrated reading, connection, and hands-on learning. Families spent time reading together, exploring stories, and engaging with materials connected to each classroom’s selected books. The event reflected KLA’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences that strengthen family involvement and nurture a love of learning.

The evening sparked joyful reactions from students and families. One student excitedly said, “I am going to every room!” Another family shared that they had “so much fun,” while a parent added, “We love it here! I wish I could be a kid here.”

Through events like these, KLA Schools continues to build a welcoming and collaborative community where children, families, and educators grow together.
