KLA Schools Strengthen Parent Partnership with Successful Initiatives in January

This January, KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield have started the new year with significant strides in strengthening parent partnerships, emphasizing the value of the Reggio Philosophy and the belief that parents are their child's first teachers and integral to their child's learning process.

In a significant step towards fostering this vital relationship, KLA Schools held their first-semester parent-teacher conferences this month. These meetings provided a platform for open dialogue, allowing educators and parents to collaborate closely in supporting each child's unique educational path. Erica Koegel, Executive Director, remarked, "The bond between a school and its families is fundamental. Our parent-teacher conferences this month have strengthened this bond and have also been a testament to our belief in the Reggio Philosophy. We see parents as their child's first and most influential teacher, and our goal at KLA Schools is to nurture this partnership to benefit every child."

On Thursday, January 25th, KLA Schools hosted an enlightening Kindergarten Information Night. This event represented a joint endeavor, uniting KLA Schools with passionate educators from neighboring school districts. They aimed to establish a solid foundation of success, collaboratively paving the way for a vibrant and fulfilling academic journey for our young learners. During this event, KLA parents were provided with essential knowledge and resources to prepare their children for the next significant step in their educational journey – Kindergarten.

"The partnership between our local school district, parents, and KLA educators is vital. By working together, we are enhancing our students' educational experience and laying a solid foundation for their future,” said KLA Educator Gina Glasgow.

These initiatives are part of KLA Schools' ongoing efforts to build a strong community of engaged and informed parents. The school believes that a collaborative approach to education involving educators, parents, and the community is key to nurturing well-rounded, confident, and capable young learners.

KLA Schools of Naperville, Naperville West, and Plainfield are currently enrolling for the 2024-25 Academic Year and offer personalized weekly tours and in-person Saturday visits by appointment. Please contact Carrie Hemmer, our admissions director, to schedule a school visit.
