Parent Involvement
We consider it a privilege to partner with you in your children’s educational journey. Our administrators and teachers love getting to know our parents and value the relationship we have with your entire family.
The environment—the third teacher in the children’s lives—reflects designed intention, safety and purpose in every space. Our classrooms and shared spaces beam with life and the children’s traces stream in evidence all around.
Atelier
Our Atelier (French for “art studio” or “workshop”) welcomes children with an inspiring array of natural and human-made materials visually available to explore. Individually or in small groups, our children encounter experiences with the various media that support all their languages of expression. The Atelier’s clay, paper, fabric, wire, light, beads, shells, leaves, wood, and other materials offer the children endless possibilities in the early exploration of the visual arts.
Safe & Secure
We keep our school safe and secure by intentional design. Protective fences, locked doors, and restricted access to only parents and registered guests protect our children. Educators are trained in pediatric first aid and CPR and are ready to respond to emergencies. Along with safety, cleanliness receives a top priority, and we pride ourselves on the upkeep of our facility, both inside and out. KLA Schools follows the infectious disease protocol set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Our Classrooms
We fill our spacious, organized, and aesthetically beautiful classrooms with an abundance of natural, recycled, and open-ended materials ready for the children to manipulate and explore. Documentation showing the children's thinking processes, academic progress, passions, and interests line the walls and inspire conversation and collaboration. Smaller class sizes ensure that all children feel nurtured, supported, and welcome.
Guided by an experienced and passionate group of educators and leaders, KLA Schools is the largest group of Reggio Emilia-inspired preschools in the country. We put the needs of children and families first, and our schools diligently work together to create better educational outcomes for children across the U.S.
